It’s been 10 years since I was last in Paris and the city was even more beautiful than I remembered. Walking all day among gorgeous Haussmannian architecture, lavishly landscaped gardens, through museum after museum, across bridge after bridge, my senses were bombarded with beauty. I loved wandering around the city, seeing how each arrondissement had its own charm and personality. What I found especially charming was how every block had a small produce market, a butcher, and cheese and wine shop instead of large supermarket chains that carried everything. This way even in a big anonymous city like Paris, Parisiens can retain a small town, neighborly feel in their daily interactions. Something unique and eye-opening!
